These roles offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a vibrant cultural hub while contributing creatively to our mission. Though unpaid, each internship or residency includes the chance to showcase your work in a featured exhibition during the following season.

ONGOING | Intern/Volunteer Position: Event Content Creator (Spring Season)

Position Overview:
Are you passionate about cinema, live music, theatre, and the arts? The Palm Springs Cultural Center, located in the heart of Palm Springs, is seeking creative Content Creators to join our team for the spring season (January through June). This flexible volunteer/intern position allows you to gain complimentary access to Cultural Center events in exchange for generating on-site content. Learn more about us at www.psculturalcenter.org.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend events to capture engaging photos, videos, and live updates for use on our social media platforms.
  • Create compelling social media posts, including Instagram Stories, TikTok videos, and Facebook updates, that align with the event's tone and branding.
  • Highlight behind-the-scenes moments, audience engagement, and event atmosphere to share with the community.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure timely and cohesive content distribution.

Requirements:

  • Experience with creating dynamic social media content, including photography and short-form video production.
  • Interest in cinema, live music, theatre, and the arts.
  • Reliable transportation to attend events at the Palm Springs Cultural Center.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Availability to commit to events during the spring season (January - June).

JAN - MAY 2025 |  Market Program Content Creator

Position Overview: The Palm Springs Cultural Center is seeking a dynamic and creative Content Creator Intern or Volunteer to support the growth and visibility of our Certified Farmers Market Program in Palm Springs, Foodie Fridays Pop-Up Dining Experience, and the upcoming Desert Hot Springs Farmers Market. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with the local food and artisan community while honing skills in content creation, event promotion, and community outreach. Volunteers must be willing to commit to the spring season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Market Coordinators: Work closely with program coordinators to develop branding and marketing strategies for each market program across print and digital platforms.
  • Event Content Creation:
  • Attend Farmers Markets (Saturdays 8 AM - 1 PM in Palm Springs, Sundays in Desert Hot Springs) and Foodie Fridays (4 PM - 8 PM) to capture engaging photos, videos, and vendor interviews.
  • Document market events and community interactions for use in promotional materials and social media campaigns.
  • Develop Promotional Materials:
  • Create eye-catching social media posts, video highlights, and blog-style recaps for each market event.
  • Design signage, flyers, and other print materials to enhance on-site branding.
  • Engage the Community:
  • Assist with outreach efforts to recruit new vendors and promote the markets to diverse audiences.
  • Support community engagement initiatives, such as customer surveys or interactive activities during market events.
  • Content Management:
  • Maintain a library of digital assets and ensure consistent branding across platforms.
  • Monitor and report on engagement metrics to refine content strategies.
  • Support Market Menu Live Program:
  • Collaborate with chefs and market coordinators to promote the Market Menu Live program, which streams live chef demonstrations at the Farmers Market.
  • Document and create content from these demonstrations, including photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes interviews.
  • Develop promotional materials to increase viewership and participation in this unique program.

Position Overview: The Palm Springs Cultural Center is seeking passionate and creative individuals to join us as Content Creator Interns for our VIP Lounge Live Music Program. This position is open to students seeking course credit or volunteers who can commit to the full season of the program. This internship offers an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content creation, event promotion, and community engagement for a weekly music series that highlights local talent in an intimate, vibrant setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to design promotional materials and develop a cohesive branding strategy for the VIP Lounge Live Music Program across print and digital platforms.
  • Develop Event Content: Attend live performances to document the atmosphere through photos, videos, and audience interactions for use in promotional campaigns and social media posts.
  • Create Compelling Media: Generate captivating pre- and post-event content, including social media posts, video highlights, and blog-style recaps, to build awareness and excitement for the program.
  • Enhance Community Engagement: Contribute creative ideas to increase the program’s visibility and attract a broader audience to the VIP Lounge Live Music Program.

The Palm Springs Cultural Center is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Content Creator Intern to help shape the visual identity and marketing strategy for our 2025 Movies in the Park Film Series. This internship offers hands-on experience in event marketing, community sponsorship outreach, and content creation for a beloved community program that celebrates cinema under the stars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to design promotional materials and develop a cohesive branding strategy for the Movies in the Park Film Series across print and digital platforms.
  • Research, identify, and engage potential community sponsors to expand the Movies in the Park Community Sponsor Program, strengthening partnerships that support the series.
  • Attend each film screening to document the event through photos, videos, and audience interviews for use in post-event content and promotional campaigns.
  • Generate captivating pre- and post-event content, including social media posts, video highlights, and blog-style recaps, to build awareness and maintain excitement for the series.
  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance the program’s visibility and community engagement.

January 1 - Spring Semester

Position Overview:
The Palm Springs Cultural Center is seeking a creative and motivated Content Creator Intern to assist with marketing and branding for our Out Director Film Series. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Director of Marketing, gaining hands-on experience in content creation, event promotion, and audience engagement for a dynamic film series showcasing diverse and impactful storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop the visual identity and promotional materials for the Out Director Film Series.
  • Create and distribute engaging content for print, digital platforms, and social media to market the film series and attract diverse audiences.
  • Attend each film screening to capture event highlights, create live updates, and gather audience testimonials.
  • Generate post-event content such as video recaps, photography, and written reflections to extend the impact of the series.
  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance audience engagement and elevate the series’ visibility.

Benefits:

  • Course Credit (if applicable to your academic program).
  • The opportunity to curate and showcase a personal Artist Exhibition on-site at the Palm Springs Cultural Center post-internship, with all proceeds from sales directly benefiting the artist. Artist would need to secure grant funding| sponsorships for costs associated with mounting any exhibition. Artist exhibition could also include film screening.
