6/30 – The Buddy Holly Story (1978) Steve Rash (113 mins.)
It’s Gary Busey! That is almost all you need to know. It is also an extremely good biopic that doesn’t get the love it deserves. The music is great, the performances (Busey in particular) are top-notch. And it documents several monumental moments in American pop history just as that history was shifting.
