BOW WOW FILM FESTIVAL
Conceived in 2014, Bow Wow Film Festhas quickly become the premier traveling dog film festival in the US! With dedicated staff and years of experience in the film and animal welfare professions, the team has supported events from Alaska to Alabama and has worked closely with animal welfare & rescue groups to bring a fun, new way to raise money and awareness for the love of dog.
Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter are dedicated to building a community responsible for pet stewardship and humane treatment of animals. Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter (Friends) is a non-profit 501©(3) organization who manages and operates our city’s animal shelter.
PALM SPRINGS ANIMAL SHELTER
The Palm Springs Animal Shelteris an open-admissions, public shelter operating under a no-kill philosophy. In 2018 we accepted 4,173 animals into our care, including dogs, cats and small animals. As public shelter, it is our responsibility to care for each and every animal who needs us. In addition to providing a safe haven for every animal who enters our shelter, we provide the highest standard of medical care to each animal. Through our dedication to build a sustainable no-kill community, we recognize there is not just one way to solve the problem of pet overpopulation, but that strategic programming and accessible resources to pet guardians will save lives and prevent more animals from entering Coachella Valley’s public open admissions shelters.
PALM SPRINGS CULTURAL CENTER
The Palm Springs Cultural Center incubates, produces and encourages arts and cultural programs in order to leverage the unique power of creativity to open minds, bridge what divides us, and discover what connects us. Our programs include film festivals, farmers’ markets, live performances, art installations and lecture series – all of which act as creative inspiration points – expanding our learning and building meaningful relationships with the people and the natural environment around us. As an organization, The Palm Springs Cultural Center is also at the forefront of recognizing the interconnection between the cultural arts and food culture, and their combined importance to the vitality, collective consciousness and sustainability of the community.
