A successful female architect discovers she is the first human being to be pregnant by the process known as parthenogenesis, the body's ability to clone itself. She is abducted by a powerful, all-male faction of the global medical community who fear her condition precurses the end of the male species. She is then abducted by a group of lesbian separatists and taken to an all female utopia where they celebrate her as the great white hope of the separatist movement.
